We currently have two openings: Carpenter and Lead Carpenter. See descriptions below to see if one of these positions is right for you.
The Lead Carpenter is the point person on the job site, managing and directing tasks of all crew members and subcontractors on site to ensure efficiency and productivity. The Lead Carpenter is responsible for customer satisfaction, material take-offs and orders, job site supervision (including protection, cleanliness, and safety), supervising and scheduling subcontractors, inspections, and paperwork. The Lead Carpenter needs to have the competency of a Carpenter, along with the managerial skills to actively manage and supervise all the different people who work on the job site.
Must have experience running a crew, scheduling subs, and standing inspections, and well as an understanding of principles of sustainability, building science, advanced framing, air sealing, water management, and weatherization techniques.
The Carpenter reports to and supports the Lead Carpenter in meeting steveworks’ goals of on time, on budget, and to the clients’ satisfaction. Carpenters take direction from the Lead Carpenter.
We are looking for candidates with rough and finish carpentry skills, as well as a global understanding of all major aspects of the construction projects that the company performs. Carpenters must have an understanding of principles of sustainability, building science, advanced framing, air sealing, water management, and weatherization techniques.
